The Faulty Flipper is the informal home of the BOK Masters Squad. Masters swimming is for adult swimmers who do not mind getting their hair wet, want to get very fit, and to swim hard hoping to improve technique, get a bit faster, and have a laugh between gasps for air.

BOK

Borough of Kirklees. Huddersfield and Dewsbury and Holmfirth and points in between. BOK is the swim club/training scheme in Huddersfield, and the Masters Squad is for the over 20s end (strictly over 25, but we aren’t picky).
We swim four times a week (posssibly going up to six) in hourly sessions. Our coach is Nick Overton.
We nearly always have room for one or two more swimmers, so if you are interested, just turn up for a session, and introduce yourself. You should be a strong-ish swimmer wanting to work hard on all four strokes. It is training for competition, so you should be agreeable to entering competitions eventually.
We swim:

Sunday 18:05 at Galpharm Stadium, Leeds Road Huddersfield
Wednesday 20:30 at Galpharm Stadium
Thursday 20:30 at Gapharm Stadium
Saturday 08:00 at Sports Centre Huddersfield

If you feel that length swimming is not quite fast enough, try us out.
